The last exhibition opening for WATCHWORDS was a complete success! The show was in response to such words as FREEDOM, CITIZENSHIP, PATRIOTISM, AND CIVIL RIGHTS. The 9 artists exhibiting questioned all those topics and more. There was even a surprise appearance by one of the artsts, Nikki Styles Baker. Nikki's spoken word installation, Superblak, touched on the thought of a superhero named Superblak, and whether he or she could exist. Cauldron Projekts is a collaborative team that seeks to create a space for community dialogue through learning, literacy and visual art practice. Like the cauldron kettle, our work seeks to blend and agitate a diverse body of people and ideas while continuing to operate as a single vessel. Our goal is to allow people to act as participants and producers of a learning experience, sometimes these experiences will lead to the creation Art, sometimes not.
